Most Common Mistakes at Interview

According to a survey among hiring managers in the US, the most common mistakes made by interviewees in the United States are:

  1. dressing inappropriately (51%)
  2. speaking negatively about a current employer (49%)
  3. appearing disinterested (48%)
  4. appearing arrogant (44%)
  5. not providing specific answers (30%)
  6. not asking good questions (29%)

I’ve no doubt that similar statistics would apply in Australia too.
