Using Google Alerts to Find Jobs

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Among the dozens of “gee whizz” programs Google offers is one called Google Alert. Google Alert allows you to enter search terms with a specific focus and receive daily, weekly or monthly information gathered from all over the web. It’s good for all kinds of research and information gathering.

Google Alerts Screen Capture

Go to Google Alert and sign up for an alert that may have keywords like, “australian fruit-picking jobs” and what will happen is that you will receive an email from Google at the frequency requested with a number of current articles about that topic.

You can change or cancel the alerts any time.

Where are you emailing from? It’s very difficult to get a job in Australia although there are vacancies always for qualified nursing staff.

Visit the site http://www.linkme.com.au and read some of the information there or at http://www.careerone.com.au where there is information about thousands of jobs in Australia.

Most fruit picking jobs require you to turn up personally and have either a permanent residence visa or a work visa.

    Good luck Lolita.
